RIBBONS > Jacquard ribbon

JACQUARD RIBBON is a thicker, high quality, more hard wearing ribbon, woven on a jacquard loom, named for the 19th century weaver Joseph Marie Jacquard.

It is typically used in asian garments like saris and salwar khameez, and is also used to make dog collars.

Both sides of the ribbon exhibit the same pattern with inverse colours.  It can used as an edging or decorative strip on clothes or for home decor.
