Indian Asian gold goldwork (also described as coilwork or zardozi) are handmade with silver or gold coloured metal threadwork woven into a fabric base.
 
These appliques feature a geometric design on a black velvet background backed with black canvas.
 
The central area has a more matt finish and the outer area a subtle sparkle.
 
Would be suitable as epaulets bringing sparkle to highlight shoulders or sleeves, or to highlight a collar or pocket. Also could be used to give a military look for a costume or fancy dress outfit.
 
Appliques are sew-on NOT iron-on.
